It's not quite a family tree, but these boards (found at various temples throughout Taiwan) are giant lists of names... whenever you see 3 characters together by themselves, that is actually the name of a person. In this case, these boards show multiple generations of people that have lived in the town. The first character is essentially our version of a "last name" - in this case, people with the surname "詹" are pretty common in this town. That's actually my last name too!
