I went to the 國立故宮博物院 (guó-lì-Gù-gōng-Bó-wù-yuàn) - National Palace Museum, or 故宮 for short - one night (free after 6:30 pm on Saturdays!) and it was well worth the effort to get out there. This is one of the side buildings - called the Silks Palace. I actually recognized this design from the UC Berkeley East Asian Library.
