Down to the first floor... notice how there is a set of colored sandals on the bottom step. Pretty much every house I went in, there would be a bunch of sandals on the floor. You are supposed to take your shoes off and wear sandals everywhere in the house. In my grandfather's house, you were supposed to take off your "first floor" sandals and swap them for these colored ones.
