 | Wednesday, June 25th, 2014: 5-Hits Blitz by Morris's Kennedy! Adam Kennedy really did a number on the Misfits in the Morris 12-2 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 5 at-bats. But Adam Kennedy did just that today for the Crabbers and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win. "I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 37-year-old right fielder said after his record-setting performance. A. Kennedy singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off K. Hart in the 8th. Year-to-date in 58 games Kennedy has compiled a .328 batting average with 40 hits and 2 home runs. He has also scored 19 times and knocked in 21 runs. |
