| Monday, June 30th, 2014: Manager Owens Terminated by Phoenixville Atomics The Phoenixville Atomics have ended their relationship with skipper John Owens, firing him this afternoon. The Atomics indicated they will soon be interviewing candidates for the position. "This time we hope to get someone with a proven track record. We want an experienced manager and will take our time in getting one," the general manager told reporters. In an exclusive interview with SION, Owens said, "No hard feelings. This is just part of the game. Phoenixville gave me an opportunity and I appreciate it. They treated me well and fairly. I just wish we could have done better." |
