Baseball has started again! | | Friday, July 8th, 2016: Hubbard Selected SL2's Premier Batter Great Barrington's Max Hubbard put up some impressive numbers during the 2016 campaign to seal his bid for Outstanding Hitter Award. The 32-year-old first baseman hit Sub League 2 pitchers with frightening efficiency as he piled up a .332 batting average.
He also included 66 hits, 16 doubles, no triples, 10 home runs, and 51 RBIs to round out the year in fine style.
For being named the SL2's top hitter, Hubbard will be honored at the SION Baseball Writers awards banquet this weekend. | | Friday, July 8th, 2016: 2016 #1 Batter Picked When it came to hitting the baseball, Dave Jordan had few peers in the Sub League 1 this year. The gifted center fielder for Plano tagged opposing pitchers for a .384 average and was voted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2016. Included in his season stats were 83 hits, 13 doubles, 4 triples, 5 home runs, 42 runs scored and 52 RBIs.
