Spring training, evaluation, and preseason exhibition games are just a few of the tasks that await a general manager's attention, as teams start setting into motion their championship plans.

 | Tuesday, July 19th, 2016: Torres Heads Best Batter List
It was a very good year for Cecil-Bishop Gunships center fielder Ramón Torres, 2016's Sub League 2 Outstanding Hitter Award.
Torres had a impressive season, hitting .470 with a .479 on-base percentage. He totaled 119 hits in 253 at-bats, 13 doubles, 3 triples, 5 home runs, 44 RBIs and scored 56 times in his award-winning season.
This weekend the SBWA will host its annual awards dinner and all of the major winners will be there to receive their trophies for their outstanding achievements this past season.

 | Tuesday, July 19th, 2016: SL1 Announces Outstanding Batter Award
2016 was a very good year for Winsted Rockets catcher Nick Clanachan, this season's Sub League 1 Outstanding Hitter Award recipient.
Clanachan had an outstanding year, hitting .389 with a .488 on-base percentage. He totaled 93 hits, 23 doubles, no triples, 2 home runs, 45 RBIs and scored 55 runs.
