| Breaking News |  | Friday, August 1st, 2025: SL1 Relief Ace Shannon - Best Hurler William Shannon of the Niles Intruders is in the spotlight today. The bullpen ace was acclaimed the best pitcher in the Sub League 1 for July.
He compiled a 5-1 record and an ERA of 2.11 in 21.1 innings with 16 strikeouts. Shannon nailed down 5 saves in 7 save opportunities.
This year Shannon has chalked up 14 relief appearances, worked 23.2 innings, struck out 18 and issued 7 walks. He has 5 saves with a 1.90 ERA and a 5-1 won-lost mark. |  | Monday, July 21st, 2025: SL1 Player of the Week Chosen Sub League 1 pitchers tried and tried all week long to stop Máximo Serrano, but to no avail.
His eyes would light up when he came to the plate and he hit everything in sight, batting .429 for the week to win the SL1 Player of the Week Award. The Niles left fielder cracked 15 hits in 35 at-bats, 3 home runs, drove in 7 runs and scored 7 times.
Serrano is currently hitting at a .321 pace with 5 home runs and 51 RBIs. |  | Tuesday, July 8th, 2025: Buckner Rips Niles for 5 Hits It was a sensational day at the plate for Jon Buckner as he led the charge to a 5-4 win over the Intruders.
The Wabasha shortstop was pure misery for the Niles pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
The manager for the Intruders told SION reporters after the game, "Buckner put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
J. Buckner doubled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
