Great Barrington's José Rodríguez had a very special day against the Sea Hawks when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and led the Great Barrington Missionaries to a 15-13 win at Missionaries Stadium.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Rodríguez said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
J. Rodríguez hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off D. Timberlake in the 9th.
Rodríguez currently has a .374 batting average with 61 hits, 4 homers, 36 RBIs, 29 runs scored and a .438 OBP. |  | Monday, May 5th, 2025: Carlton Torches Salamanders for 7 Hits "Believe it or not," said Great Barrington right fielder Danny Carlton, "they threw me some good pitches today."
That would be hard to believe for anyone who saw him dispose of the Salamanders with a great 7-hit performance.
"He made it look easy," said the Tacoma manager, who saw his team fall to the Great Barrington Missionaries, 30-8.
"Hats off to him!"

In a game played at Swordfish Stadium, the Northglenn right fielder blistered the Great Barrington Missionaries for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a 4-2 victory.
"González was too tough to get out today," the Missionaries skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
J. González singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
