Tuesday, December 16th, 2025: Royals and Marlins Agree to Swap The Kansas City Royals have parted ways with 24-year old reliever Lance Williams, sending him to the Florida Marlins for 19-year old minor league starting pitcher António Sánchez. The Royals general manager confirmed the deal in an announcement this morning. Williams's lifetime ledger sheet looks like this: 71 appearances, 6 victories, 3 losses, 5 saves, 75 IP, and 63 strikeouts. He has an ERA of 5.76 and has allowed opposing hitters a .231 average. Sunday, December 14th, 2025: Detroit-Kansas City Swap: Gómez for Hudson A trade between the Detroit Tigers and the Kansas City Royals was made official this morning. The Detroit Tigers have sent 25-year old catcher José Gómez and 23-year old minor league catcher Ramón Velázquez to the Kansas City Royals in exchange for 26-year old center fielder Dan Hudson.
