Before the game Jorge Marino liked his chances and his instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing the White Sox pitcher whitewashed the Minnesota Twins 11-0.
Marino said in the clubhouse afterward, "I just had a feeling it was going to be my day. My control was awesome. I could throw my curveball even when I was behind in the count."
The Chicago starter held Minnesota scoreless, giving up 3 hits while registering 15 strikeouts and issuing 2 walks.
"We didn't have very many good at-bats," the Twins manager said in his postgame interview.
"When that happens, you usually lose."
This year Marino has a 19-5 record with a 3.68 ERA in 37 starts.

| Friday, September 12th, 2025: Craig Batters Minnesota Big Time!
Next time the Twins might think twice about pitching to Floyd Craig. Today at U.S. Cellular Field the Chicago right fielder really burned Minnesota pitching, going 5-for-5 in the White Sox 9-1 triumph.
"When he's seeing the ball well," his skipper told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded."
This year Craig is hitting .339, produced 64 RBIs and 10 home runs, scored 123 times and gotten on base at a .407 rate.
