He exclaimed, "What a day! We win and I get 5 hits! Couldn't be better!" The delighted right fielder was really enjoying the happiness of the moment in the press room.
"He was patient up there today," the Aurora skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly agressive. Mills has a tendency to go after some bad balls sometimes."

The manager for the Blue Bombers bemoaned his pitching, saying, "We fell behind and weren't locating well. Once you get behind in the count, you have to make real good pitches, rather than good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today." He added, "Not to take anything away from Meadows, but bad location was the story of the ballgame. That's why we lost the game."
D. Meadows singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off M. Jones in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
