| Breaking News | | Monday, August 18th, 2025: Balgera Slams 5 Hits for Fort Wayne Next time the Repulse might think twice about pitching to Declan Balgera. Today at Whammers Ballpark the Fort Wayne first baseman really burned San Bernardino pitching, going 5-for-6 in the Whammers 9-8 triumph.
"When he's seeing the ball well," his skipper told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded."
In the 2025 season Balgera is batting .327 with 161 hits and 16 home runs. He has scored 77 times and batted in 84. | | Sunday, August 10th, 2025: Ernesto Díaz Hurt, Out of Action The Repulse received bad news this morning. Ernesto Díaz will miss 2 weeks due to a damaged meniscus. In the San Bernardino-Aurora game he sustained the injury while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Díaz sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery."
This season Ernesto Díaz has made 14 relief appearances, saving 2. His record is 1-1 with 7 strikeouts in 26.2 innings and a 5.74 ERA. | | Saturday, July 26th, 2025: Murchie Goes 5-6 Brian Murchie put on a hitting clinic today as the Repulse dumped the Sun Devils 12-8 at Ballpark of San Bernardino. The San Bernardino second baseman sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Lincoln pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game.
He told SION reporters after the game, that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch."
B. Murchie singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off A. Dunn in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
Thus far this year Murchie is hitting .286 with 3 home runs, 58 RBIs and 74 runs scored. | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | 1B Curt Cahill | ruptured disc (back) | 4 weeks | Not on DL | | P Te Chou | ruptured disc (back) | 5-6 months | Not on DL | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 73-58, .557 PCT | | Position in Division | 2nd, 1.0 GB | | Record at home | 41-24, .631 PCT | | Record on the road | 32-34, .485 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 6-7, .462 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 16-26, .381 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 24-14, .632 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 49-44, .527 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 5-5, .500 PCT | | Record in April | 14-14, .500 PCT | | Record in May | 16-13, .552 PCT | | Record in June | 13-13, .500 PCT | | Record in July | 17-11, .607 PCT | | Record in August | 13-7, .650 PCT |
