2025's top hitter in the Sub League 2 is Roy Tierney. He feasted on everything opposing pitchers offered, hitting .417 with 1 home run to claim the prestigious Outstanding Hitter Award.
During the year he tallied 93 hits, 32 RBIs, and 53 runs scored.
This weekend the SBWA will host its annual awards dinner and all of the major winners will be there to receive their trophies for their outstanding achievements this past season.

 | Sunday, July 6th, 2025: Olson SL1's Top Hitter for 2025
One of the Sub League 1's most prestigious honors is the Outstanding Hitter Award. When all the votes were counted, the 2025 recipient was the talented right fielder of the Toledo City Hawks, Matt Olson.
He starred this season with a .361 batting average, 66 hits, 5 home runs, 31 RBIs, .435 OBP and 33 runs scored.
For being named the SL1's top hitter, Olson will be honored at the SION Baseball Writers awards banquet this weekend.

 | Saturday, July 5th, 2025: Rojas Takes SL2 Outstanding Pitcher Award
This season he was the best pitcher in the league according to the SION voters.
Carlos Rojas of the Norfolk Snowstorm was in command and couldn't do much wrong when he was on the mound.
His outstanding 6-1 won-lost mark and 2.64 ERA were big factors in him winning the 2025 Sub League 2 Outstanding Pitcher Award.
In 81.2 innings of work and 13 starts, Rojas struck out 75 while giving up 70 hits and 24 walks. He held opposing batters to a .227 average.
For his fine season the SION Baseball Writers Association will present Rojas his trophy this weekend at its annual awards dinner.
