Rubén Ochoa really sizzled at the plate in today's 11-2 win over Ransackers. The Tacoma third baseman blistered Greensboro for 5 hits in 6 at-bats.
"Ochoa was too tough to get out today," the Ransackers skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
R. Ochoa singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
This season Ochoa is batting .423 with 58 hits, 7 home runs, 28 RBIs, .444 OBP and has scored 26 runs.

Jon West shut 'em down and shut 'em out, hurling Phoenixville past Greensboro 12-0 in a complete game victory.
He told SION sportswriters in the postgame interview, "This is a game of adjustments and I made some good ones in this game."
West held the Greensboro Ransackers without a run, tossing a 1-hitter while walking 3 and fanning 3.

"Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Camden's Cristóbal González told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well."
It definitely turn out well for González today as he collected 7 hits in 7 at-bats against Greensboro. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Blue Collars knocked off the Ransackers 12-11 at Blue Collars Ballpark.
C. González singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off G. Robbins in the 8th, doubled in the 10th and hit an RBI single in the 11th.
So far this season González has hit .457 with 2 home runs, 13 RBIs and and scored 12 times.
