Yonkers's Masato Okamoto had a very special day against the Blur when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and led the Yonkers Bears to a 15-1 win at Bears Ballpark.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Okamoto said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
M. Okamoto singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.
In his 2025 season totals, Okamoto has no home runs, .386 BA, .440 OBP, 15 RBIs and 14 runs scored. |  | Friday, May 31st, 2024: 5 Hits for Turbos Shibisha Axamuk Shibisha really did a number on the Blur in the Spokane 17-5 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 6 at-bats. But Axamuk Shibisha did just that today for the Turbos and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win.
"I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 19-year-old center fielder said after his record-setting performance.
A. Shibisha grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
This season Shibisha has hit at a .383 clip with 47 RBIs, 6 home runs and 45 runs scored. |  | Monday, May 27th, 2024: Super Swinger! Nicholas Slams 5 Hits! Madison center fielder Bob Nicholas could do no wrong in today's 7-6 win over the Blur as he collected 5 hits.
"In every one of his at-bats things were in his favor...he got hitter's counts," the skipper of the Blur said to the press corps after the game.
Nicholas agreed. "The key is getting ahead. Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit. You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."
B. Nicholas singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off T. Hill in the 9th.
