There is great joy in Whisper Walk today after the Mudcats thumped North Brooksville 5-0 to cop the 2025 MLB Single A Round 3. They defeated the Tracers 4-0 to take the series.
This was the 2nd time Whisper Walk has garnered the league title. During the regular season the Mudcats chalked up a 77-43 mark and finished up in first place in the Sub League 1 Division 3.

 | Friday, August 1st, 2025: July's #1 Hurler Announced - Pérez Winner
In July North Brooksville starter Salvador Pérez confused hitters all month long. Last month's Sub League 2 Pitcher of the Month took home the trophy as he collected a 5-1 record in 7 starts.
The 19-year-old Pérez added 28 strikeouts in 47 innings and 12 walks to his season record and compiled a 2.68 ERA. Other clubs hit .290 against him.
In 2025 Pérez has compiled a 14-4 mark with a 2.74 ERA in 19 starts. In pitching 128.1 innings he has 88 strikeouts and 32 walks while limiting the opposition to a .256 batting average.

 | Wednesday, July 30th, 2025: 5-Hit Game for Zorros!
On top of the North Brooksville hit parade today was Carlos Zorros. He went to the plate 6 times and marched away with 5 hits, sparking the Tracers to a 13-2 victory over the Pine Beach Terror. He certainly had their number at the plate in this record-making 5-6 performance.
The sweet swinging center fielder told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats."
The skipper of the Terror wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."
C. Zorros hit a solo-shot off C. Walsh in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
Zorros currently has a .265 batting average with 111 hits, 3 homers, 51 RBIs, 88 runs scored and a .367 OBP.
