| Breaking News |  | Saturday, June 28th, 2025: Hernández Pitches Hill Cats to Shutout Victory The Chaffee Blacksmiths struggled at the plate today against Hill Cats hurler Rubén Hernández, who shackled them on 1 hit while hurling a complete game 9-0 shutout.
"What can you say? We didn't hit well," said the Blacksmiths skipper in his postgame comments.
"Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow."
Hernández finished the game with 5 strikeouts and 2 walks in an excellent mound performance.
"He pitched real well," his manager said. "Rubén made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively."

This season Tah has compiled a 4-5 record with a 4.21 ERA in 13 starts. |  | Saturday, May 24th, 2025: Reeves Pitches Uniontown to Shutout Victory The Jersey City Skyknights were almost helpless today in their 1-0 loss to Uniontown hurler John Reeves. He kept them confused the entire ballgame and spun a 4-hit shutout.
The Jersey City manager said in the postgame interview, "Tip your hat to Reeves. He kept us off balance all night."
Reeves said, "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play. It was just one of those games that things went my way."
He had 2 walks and 7 strikeouts in a strong performance.
