Thursday, December 18th, 2025: Atlanta and Toronto Agree to Deal
The rumor has been going on for a while now, but today it was made official. The Atlanta Braves sent 25-year old center fielder Jimmy Ross to the Toronto Blue Jays for 29-year old starting pitcher Bob Terry.

Officials from both teams seem to be pleased with the deal.

In his career Ross has played in 440 games with a .239 batting average. Among his 321 hits are 79 doubles, 25 triples, and 36 home runs. He also has scored 213 runs, walked 166 times, stolen 57 bases and driven in 158 runs.

In career stats, the 29-year-old Terry has won 70 and lost 65, recording 903 strikeouts and 464 walks in 1212 innings with a 4.69 ERA. Opponents have hit .258 against him.
Wednesday, October 8th, 2025: Colorado Shuts Out Braves
Ernest Mahoney pitched a strong game in blanking the Atlanta Braves 3-0, allowed no runs on 2 hits, totaled 11 strikeouts and gave up no walks.

The Colorado manager said he could tell right away it was going to be a good game for Mahoney. "Right from the start, you could see how economical he was," he said. "He threw a lot of strikes."

Mahoney has a 11-12 season record so far. In 36 starts, he has fanned 221 batters in 217.2 innings with a 4.30 ERA.
Monday, October 6th, 2025: Braves Chamberlain Decides to Retire
It's a somber day for Braves fans as Joba Chamberlain announced that he will retire at the end of the 2025 season. The Atlanta starting pitcher attributed his retirement to his age and loss of skills.

"I'm not the type of player I want to be anymore," he said. "It's harder go out there and be competitive. I'm not at the end of my rope yet, but I've seen guys hang around too long. I'm not going to be one of them."

In his career Chamberlain has 178 wins and 163 losses and a 4.33 ERA.
