Tuesday, July 1st, 2025: Turbojets Gómez to Miss 1-2 Weeks
Edgardo Gómez at first refused to leave today's Scottsdale-Corpus Christi game after he suffered dead arm syndrome while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I'm a competitor," the feisty Corpus Christi reliever said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Gómez out of action for 1-2 weeks.

He has made 2 relief appearances this year with 0 saves. Gómez has achieved a 3-7 record while holding opposing hitters to a .341 batting average and posting a 7.32 ERA. He has tossed 67.2 innings, given up 100 base hits, fanned 31 and issued 32 walks.
