This season's Sub League 1 Outstanding Pitcher Award trophy went to Cisco Sánchez, the ace of the Seminole pitching staff.
He dominated all season, finishing up with 6 wins and 2 losses and a 2.08 ERA. In 12 starts he worked a total of 73.2 innings, striking out 48 while walking 14. Other clubs only managed to hit .232 against him.
Cisco Sánchez will be honored this weekend at the SION Baseball Writers Association annual awards banquet.

| Saturday, May 31st, 2025: Marmolejo Tags Resistance 5 Hits
Júlio Marmolejo told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard."
Well, that's just what Marmolejo of the Seminole Hailstorm did against the Maxton Resistance. He went to the plate 5 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, much to the chagrin of the Resistance, who suffered a 9-4 defeat.
"Not much that I can say," offered the losing manager, "he just hammered the heck out of us."
J. Marmolejo singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Marmolejo currently has a .380 batting average with 82 hits, 0 homers, 23 RBIs, 43 runs scored and a .420 OBP.

When a blue-collar guy the likes of Júlio Marmolejo grinds out Sub League 1 Player of the Week honors, traditionalists across The United States celebrate.
The scrappy Seminole Hailstorm center fielder hit .500 while slapping 17 hits in 34 at-bats, no home runs and 5 RBIs.
In 2025 Marmolejo is hitting .369 with 72 hits, no home runs, 21 RBIs, .400 OBP and has scored 34 runs.
