| Breaking News | | Monday, May 19th, 2025: Hensley Hits for the Cycle by the Numbers Sometimes a big day is not enough to bring home a victory and Frazeysburg left fielder Jake Hensley knows that firsthand. He hit for the cycle in today's 6-3 loss to Tamms, scorching their pitching staff for 4 hits in 5 at-bats. His magnificent day included 3 RBI and 1 run scored for the Vultures.
During the 2025 season Hensley has hit .374 with 6 home runs and 41 RBIs. He has played in 35 games and scored 32 times. | | Saturday, May 25th, 2024: Sheng Tags Conquistadors 5 Hits It seemed that Tamms third baseman Zhi-jun Sheng could do no wrong as the Voltage kayoed the Conquistadors 8-0 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Epping pitchers couldn't get him out as Sheng seemed to know which pitches they were throwing.
"I think the Voltage were stealing signs." growled one unhappy Epping fan.
"I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play." exclaimed the jubilant Sheng in the postgame press interview.
Z. Sheng singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off J. Gonzáles in the 8th.
Sheng has a .331 average and a .387 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 59 hits, 1 home run and driven in 19 runs. | | Wednesday, May 15th, 2024: Mora Gives Tamms Goose Eggs! Manny Mora was sneaky fast, on the mark and hard to hit today. He blanked the Tamms Voltage 7-0 on 3 hits and had 1 walk and 4 strikeouts.
"You know what he's going to throw. You know what to expect. And you still can't hit it," the Tamms skipper told reporters after the shutout loss to the Cortland Solars.
"He just had a real deceiving fastball today and he was throwing it for strikes."
So far this year Mora has 4 wins and 2 losses and a 3.47 ERA. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 28-34, .452 PCT | | Position in Division | 5th, 8.0 GB | | Record at home | 10-21, .323 PCT | | Record on the road | 18-13, .581 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 2-7, .222 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 7-8, .467 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 5-11, .313 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 23-23, .500 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 7-3, .700 PCT | | Record in April | 11-17, .393 PCT | | Record in May | 12-14, .462 PCT | | Record in June | 5-3, .625 PCT |
