Kevin Cook of the Frazeysburg Vultures worked his mound magic on the Oberlin Sea Eagles. He blanked them 9-0 on 2 hits, registering 9 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"Making good pitches is the name of the game and I made some good ones in this one," said Cook to SION scribes after the game.

 | Sunday, May 12th, 2024: González Rips East End for 5 Hits
It was a parade of hits for Cristóbal González of the Oberlin Sea Eagles...one right after another...a total of 5 for the day. He ravaged the East End Harpoons for 5 hits in his 6 at-bats and propelled the Sea Eagles to a 8-7 victory.
"González was really good and we were really bad," groaned the Harpoons manager. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."
C. González singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
González on the season is batting .380 with no home runs. His totals include 25 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has played in 34 games.

 | Sunday, May 5th, 2024: Warren Holds Sea Eagles Scoreless
After his 6-0 shutout win against the Sea Eagles, Paul Warren said, "I went out there to try and eat up innings and help out our bullpen. I felt I had my good stuff... and it turned out my command was solid and my breaking balls were good."
They were better than good as the Voltage pitcher put up 6 strikeouts, surrendered 3 walks, allowed 3 hits and kept the bullpen phone quiet all day long.
Up to now Warren has compiled an ERA of 3.43 with a 2-5 mark over 7 starts. He has 22 strikeouts in 44.2 innings and has held opponents to a .243 batting average.
