Thursday, December 18th, 2025: Reliever Turns Aside New York Rumors
A new era might be dawning in New York as the Yankees are reportedly hammering out the details of a $29,500,000, 3-year deal to bring reliever Stanford Melson to town.

When pressed by reporters today Melson refused to speculate, saying that all contract matters were being handled by his agent.

SION was unable to reach Melson's agent before press time.

Tuesday, December 16th, 2025: Marlins Swap Díaz to Yankees for Báez
The Florida Marlins have finalized a deal with the New York Yankees for the services of 20-year old minor league third baseman Jesús Báez. In exchange, the Yankees will receive 24-year old reliever Alfredo Díaz.

In his career Díaz has 1 save with a 3-2 record and a 4.30 ERA.

Thursday, December 11th, 2025: Jones and Kershaw Swapped
Officials for the Arizona Diamondbacks confirmed that they have traded 25-year old first baseman Mark Jones to the New York Yankees. In return, the Diamondbacks will receive 36-year old starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw, 18-year old minor league left fielder Tim Hart and $2,178,400 in cash.

Jones is batting .333 lifetime with 393 hits, 79 doubles, 6 triples, 84 home runs, 242 RBIs to date. He has also scored 235 runs.

On his lifetime ledger sheet, the 36-year-old Kershaw has won 173 and lost 169 with a 4.29 ERA.
