"It was like I was hitting little league pitching," said Charlie Warrick after his 5-hit performance against the Bandits. "No offense meant to Shreveport, but I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid league park, it was Kittyhawks Ballpark!"
The Sweet Home first baseman had a fantastic day at the plate, knocking out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and pacing his club to a 15-6 victory.
His manager elaborated after the game to the press, saying, "Charlie worked the entire offseason on trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball and the hard work is paying off in base hits."
"That's what I'm trying to do," Warrick said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it."
C. Warrick singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This year Warrick has hit at a .271 clip with 58 RBIs, 7 home runs and 73 runs scored.

| Monday, July 14th, 2025: SL1's #1 Player Named
Loren Kellaway of the Sweet Home Kittyhawks had an enormous week at the plate and today was voted the Player of the Week by the Sub League 1.
For the week Kellaway batted .450 (9-20) with 4 home runs and 9 RBIs.
So far in 2025 Kellaway is hitting .344 with 7 home runs, 58 RBIs and 61 runs scored. He has 97 hits and played in 72 games.

 | Wednesday, July 9th, 2025: Bates Belts Bunch of Base Hits
Sweet Home third baseman Jesse Bates really lit up the Wabasha Bullies with a 5-hit barrage today at Kittyhawks Ballpark -- a performance that sparked the Kittyhawks to a 26-1 triumph.
He shrugged off the performance after the game and said, "Sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes."
J. Bates hit a three-run home run off M. Turner in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.
During the 2025 season Bates has hit .330 with 2 home runs and 20 RBIs. He has played in 29 games and scored 29 times.
