| Breaking News | | Sunday, July 6th, 2025: Clover Hill 2025 Round 3 Champions It was a hard fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes -- to the victors go the spoils. Clover Hill got the MLB Rookie League Round 3 trophy today with a 7-2 victory over Dacono at Commodores Stadium. The Commodores won their 2nd championship after taking the series with the Pests 4-3.
"They've got grit!" one fan told SION, "They know how to win when they have to. They're the League Champions!"
The new titleholders completed the regular season with a first place finish in the Sub League 1 Division 3 and a 38-24 won-loss record. | | Friday, June 20th, 2025: 5 Hits for Pests Robertson Evan Robertson told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard."
Well, that's just what Robertson of the Dacono Pests did against the Allegany Gray Birds. He went to the plate 6 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, much to the chagrin of the Gray Birds, who suffered a 19-8 defeat.
"Not much that I can say," offered the losing manager, "he just hammered the heck out of us."
E. Robertson hit an RBI single in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off D. O'Herlihy in the 9th.
This year Robertson has collected a .292 batting average to date with 71 hits in 243 at-bats, 38 RBIs, 2 home runs and scored 30 times. He has played in 59 games. | | Friday, June 20th, 2025: Super Swinger! Hopper Slams 5 Hits! Who needs batting practice? Porter Hopper of Dacono apparently doesn't as he battered Allegany with a 5-hit outburst in today's game to lead his club to a 19-8 win.
He told the press after the game, "And I didn't even take BP today. I think I have been taking too many swings before game and decided to take a day off. Wow, this was really something... a 5 for 7 day... will my name be in the record books now?"
P. Hopper flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off J. Alvarado in the 9th.
Thus far this season Hopper has hit .344 with 1 home run, 33 RBIs and scored 43 times. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 35-28, .556 PCT | | Position in Division | 1st, - GB | | Record at home | 19-12, .613 PCT | | Record on the road | 16-16, .500 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 2-1, .667 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 11-8, .579 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 7-7, .500 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 28-21, .571 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 6-4, .600 PCT | | Record in April | 20-8, .714 PCT | | Record in May | 10-16, .385 PCT | | Record in June | 5-4, .556 PCT |
