Fur Traders reliever Jon Sawyer was injured while throwing a pitch against the Waconia Vikings. The injury was diagnosed as a strained tricep muscle. The Glendale standout is not expected to miss too much action and will be listed as day-to-day. He could be out about 2 weeks.

 | Sunday, July 13th, 2025: 5 Hits for Fur Traders Jones
Mike Jones of the Fur Traders was unstoppable in today's 8-4 victory over the Anchorage Misfits at Fur Traders Ballpark. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats.
"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Glendale center fielder after the game. "All I had to do was swing, and I connected. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-5 will."
M. Jones hit an RBI triple in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
So far this year Jones has hit .253 with 10 home runs, 53 RBIs and scored 41 runs.

| Monday, June 16th, 2025: Week's Best Player - Glendale's Williams
No single hit brought Cliff Williams Player of the Week honors -- the Glendale Fur Traders first baseman corralled the award with a consistent approach in every at-bat.
"Hitting is all about discipline," said Williams. "When you lose focus, start to lunge at the ball and swing too agressively...swinging at a lot of bad pitches...that's when your average starts to drop and you wind up fighting for playing time. You're most successful when you concentrate on the ball and make 'em throw strikes."
Concentrate he did. Williams stroked 16 hits in 32 at-bats while cranking out 1 home run, 3 RBIs and 6 runs scored.
Williams is currently batting .376 with 4 home runs and 28 RBIs.
