2025 has been good to the Corpus Christi Valiants. Not only did they end up in first place during the regular season with a 76-44 record, they were the MLB Double A champions. The Valiants won the Round 3 for the 2nd time.
A 5-4 triumph over the Cordaville Catsharks at Valiants Ballpark brought home the trophy to Corpus Christi. They won the series 4-3.

"He's mixing his pitches real well and keeping his composure on the mound," the Cordaville manager said. "When Johnson does that, good things happen."
These comments came after Bob Johnson and the Cordaville Catsharks shut out the Wedgefield Diamondhawks 12-0.
He had 12 strikeouts, 1 walk and allowed 1 hit.
This season Johnson has a 13-1 record with a 1.92 ERA.

Ladoga right fielder Jessie Ford could do no wrong in today's 16-1 win over the Catsharks as he collected 5 hits.
"In every one of his at-bats things were in his favor...he got hitter's counts," the skipper of the Catsharks said to the press corps after the game.
Ford agreed. "The key is getting ahead. Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit. You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."
J. Ford grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
Thus far this season Ford is hitting .304 with 4 home runs, 53 RBIs and 47 runs scored. He has 93 hits in 306 at-bats and has played in 76 games.
