Juan Jiménez was on fire today and sparked his club to a 21-5 victory over the Tanks. The Deposit second baseman was a tough out and went 5 for 6 against Batavia in a fine hitting display.
"I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody...and some days they fall in."
J. Jiménez grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off F. Alou in the 8th.
In 2025 Jiménez has hit at a .312 clip with 74 hits, 1 home run, 28 RBIs and has scored 34 times.

What a day for Yan-hao Eng of the Deposit Barnstormers! A 5-hit hitting spree! That doesn't happen everyday! He ripped Utica pitching apart at Barnstormers Ballpark and sparked the Barnstormers to a 15-6 victory. He wrote his name in the record books, finishing up his special day 5-5.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Eng told SION reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid that."
Y. Eng hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
During the current season Eng is batting at a .348 clip with no home runs and 38 RBIs. He has played in 51 games and scored 28 times.

| Monday, July 21st, 2025: Week's Best Player Honored by SL2
It was a fantastic week for Deposit first baseman Dawson Pierce and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the Sub League 2 Player of the Week Award.
Last week Pierce hammered the ball at a torrid .517 pace, going 15-29 with no home runs, 6 RBIs and 7 runs scored.
This year Pierce has hit at a .338 clip with 42 RBIs, 3 home runs and 78 runs scored.
