He walloped 5 hits in 6 at-bats in his career-day performance to help the Czars get by the Intruders 17-11.
In a talkative and jovial mood after the game, the shortstop of the Czars exclaimed, "Whoa, my swing was really, really there today. I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens...good things happen...like 5-6. I could get used to a lot of days like this one."
T. Burkett singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, tripled in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Batavia Tanks. Rodríguez smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on a his record-setting day, leading his club to a 7-6 win.
His manager said, "Ramón was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him."
In the other dugout the opposing manager told SION beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine."
R. Rodríguez grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit a solo-shot off G. Young in the 11th.
