| Breaking News | | Thursday, July 24th, 2025: Pérez Hurt, Listed Day-to-Day
Morris team officials speculated whether star reliever Juan Pérez would be scratched from today's ballgame after he suffered a strained back muscle in yesterday's matchup with the Ashland Ironclads. Pérez denied reports that he would miss a lot of time, but added that he would not risk further injury by playing.
In 2025 Pérez has 44 relief appearances, saving 0. His record is 6-2 with 65 strikeouts in 87.2 innings and a 4.31 ERA.

| Saturday, July 19th, 2025: Jefferson Records Shutout Against Paradise
Tyrone Jefferson of the Morris Crabbers shut out the Paradise Golden Grizzlies 5-0, stopped them on 5 hits and had 8 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing.
After the game his manager said, "He just came out and was on the attack from the first pitch he threw. When Tyrone stays ahead in the count, he does well. That's the key."
In 20 starts this year Jefferson has posted 6 wins while suffering 12 losses. He has pitched 98.1 innings, allowed 124 hits, struck out 79 and has a 6.22 ERA.

The Sub League 1 announced the winner of the Pitcher of the Month Award for June.
It went to Bob Tucker of Morris for his outstanding 5-1 record and 1.67 ERA.
Tucker also chalked up 7 starts, 43 innings and 44 strikeouts.
This season Tucker has crafted a 7-5 mark with a 3.83 ERA in 89.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .265 against him and he has 84 strikeouts.
